Ten Fun Items from Costco

Do you ever look in people's carts when you shop? I do. Not because I'm terribly nosy, I just don't want to miss any good deals. If you looked in my Costco shopping cart, here are some things you would see:

1. Aidell's Mango with JalapeƱo Sausage
These are just too amazing to pass up. They are so tasty on the grill. A must have for your next party.

2. Ground Saigon Cinnamon by Kirkland Signature
Good quality stuff. You will love it and there is lots for a decent price.

3. Mr. Yoshida's Gourmet Sauce
The best, easiest, chicken marinade ever. Slather on your chicken and let sit overnight. You will love how easy this is, also goes great with stir-fry.

I know I'm late to enter the game on this one. I wouldn't buy this at first, it seemed so "man-made" and so sticky, but I've changed my tune. When I wrap my opened cans with this wrap, I noticed a big difference in how much longer they lasted. It's pricey but worth it in the long run. I also wrapped my zucchini bread in this, then foil. It lasted lots longer in the freezer too.

5. Ziploc Double Zipper Freezer Bags
Do people understand the value of a baggie? I seriously doubt it. Do you know the number one problem women complain of in under-developed countries? A place to put things. I've decided that baggies are crucial to my success as a cook. I've made it a goal to never run out again. I'm adding it to my food storage list as a necessary staple.

6. TOPS Yellow Writing Pads
I adore these writing pads. Such a great way to make a to-do list. It's a perfect size. I put my grocery list on here as well as other to-do lists and always have one by my kitchen sink, just to jot down thoughts, and needs at the store. You cannot beat this price and they are so handy. Let's face it, sometimes, a sticky note just isn't big enough for one woman's thoughts.

7. Skotidakis Jalapeno Greek Yogurt Dip
Have you seen this dip? Just enough kick and healthy. Can you imagine if you could put this on your sandwiches instead of mayo? Talk about a change for the better. I'm going to start experimenting with this one.

8. Foster Farms Chicken Pattie
Since I cook 6 days a week, sometimes I just have to have something easy. This is our Saturday night staple. The kids love them. I only eat a 1/2 as they are pretty fattening, but it is a super quick easy dinner. Costco has hamburgers and pizza as well if you want to try just once a month.

9. Hershey's Baking Cocoa
My friend really looked into the price per pound. $.26 cents is a fairly good deal for cocoa. Guess how much Cocoa is at Costco? $.26. I shopped around and no grocery store could beat this price, even the case-lot sales. They do consider it "seasonal" and it can be hard to find, so buy several when you do find it.

10. Milk, eggs and cheese. That is what draws you into Costco, right? The fabulous prices on the basics. Buying the 5 dozen egg pack has seriously been life changing for me. I still run out of eggs, but it's down to once every few months, instead of once a week!
