Cooking class: Easter

We are starting our annual cooking class. It is going to be so much fun this year. This time we are visiting the holidays. When the kids come we will be celebrating a different holiday each time: Easter, Halloween, Christmas, and Valentines day. Each time they come we will be assembling and cooking different foods that center around that holiday.

Our first one is Easter. They are going to dip mini oreos in white chocolate, bake cinnamon swirl bread, (We used Pantry Secrets recipe.) Make some Rice Krispies with 1/2 Fruity Pebbles, and decorate the top of cupcakes to look like Easter baskets. I can hardly wait. I will try and include some photos of the food. I think it will be our best year ever. (Even though it's only our second year, still....)

Bunny Buns They loved these. Very easy and fun to bake. We also made deviled eggs. They were not too fond of these I can tell you! But, a few were willing to at least try one bite.
They got to take home an egg filled with jelly beans. I think that was everything for our first day. It was a ton of food and they loved it.

So far it has gone perfect. The timing is so critical, especially since the bread takes 55 minutes and our class is one hour. But, having everything ready to go as they walked in, worked.
I have the best kids this year. They are really amazing and they make the class so much fun. This is the best summer job ever.
Reality check: Nothing we made looks a thing like the pictures! Well, those are our eggs, but hey, they're kids! And they loved making the food and didn't care if it was picture worthy, they just enjoyed good food and good fun.
